Terms & Conditions:
Reece Safety Products Ltd will be referred to as RSP Ltd throughout these
terms and conditions.
Basis of Contract
All orders are subject to acceptance by RSP Ltd. Any order accepted will be
subject to these terms and conditions.
Appropriateness of Product
It is the buyer's responsibility to ensure that products are suitable for
their purpose before placing an order. If the buyer is unsure about the
appropriateness of goods, they must
discuss their requirements with RSP Ltd before ordering. RSP Ltd makes every
effort to ensure that products conform to current legislation or standards.
Deliveries
Please allow 2 to 3 working days for delivery of ex-stock items. Same day or
overnight deliveries can be arranged and will be charged at cost.
Carriage and Packing
A carriage and packing charge is applied for orders less than £150.00 (net)
to UK delivery addresses. The charge is not applied for orders over £150.00
(net) to UK delivery
addresses. The current minimum carriage and packing charge is £8.50.
Carriage and packing charges for shipments outside the UK will be charged at
cost. Details are provided
before shipment of goods.
VAT
All prices quoted are net of VAT. VAT will be charged at the current rate
where applicable.
Retention of Title
All goods remain the property of RSP Ltd until payment in full has been
received.
Payment Terms
A credit account is available subject to status and at the discretion of RSP
Ltd. Full payment is due within 30 days of the invoice date. For customers
without a credit account,
payment in full is required prior to despatch of goods. Payment is accepted
by cheque, bank transfer, or most major credit and debit cards.
Interest on Late Payment
We understand and will exercise our statutory right to claim interest, and
compensation for debt recovery costs, under the late payment legislation if
we are not paid according
to our agreed terms.
Discounts
RSP Ltd does not offer an early settlement discount. The full amount
invoiced must be paid.
Customised Goods
The buyer is liable to pay the full price for any customised goods from the
moment the order has been placed. Customised goods cannot be returned except
because of fault, or
damage caused before delivery to the buyer.
Notification of Queries
and Complaints
Goods must be inspected on receipt and any faults or damage reported to RSP
Ltd in writing within 2 working days. Queries or complaints must be notified
to RSP Ltd,
verbally or in writing, within 5 working days of receipt of the goods.
Queries regarding the invoice must be made to RSP Ltd within 10 working days
of receipt of the invoice.
Returns
The return of goods must be agreed in advance with RSP Ltd and sent to our
Delph address. With the exception of goods being returned due to
fault or
damage, the cost of return carriage shall be met by the buyer, not by RSP
Ltd. RSP Ltd will charge 15% of the invoiced amount as a handling fee for
returned goods. The return of
goods must be made within 14 days (2 weeks) of receipt. Customised items are
non-returnable, except because of fault or damage.
Overpayments
Customers may request the return of any overpayment made to RSP Ltd within
12 months of receipt. RSP Ltd reserves the right to charge a fee to cover
the costs of returning
the overpayment. RSP Ltd will be entitled to keep any overpayment not
claimed within 12 months.
Guarantee
Products are guaranteed against serious defect for a minimum period of one year from
delivery. RSP Ltd will either replace the product or credit the full price
of the goods. However,
RSP Ltd shall be under no liability in respect of any defects in products,
which come about due to the acts, omissions, negligence or default by the
buyer, or any other persons
having access to the products. All claims in respect of Guarantee are
under a Return to Base basis - if a product is deemed faulty within the
guarantee period this must be returned as the buyers expense to Reece
Safety Products for investigation. If deemed faulty then a repair or
replacement will be supplied.
Products Advertised
RSP Ltd reserves the right to withdraw products, alter or amend prices and
specifications advertised, or provide a suitable alternative of equal value
and quality without prior notice.
Where products are significantly different from those advertised, the buyer
will be notified before dispatch of the goods.
Law
In the event of a default in this agreement, English law shall govern these
terms and conditions of sale.
